Biographical note

Søren Wichmann (Ph.D. 1996, University of Copenhagen) is Senior Scientist in the Linguistics Department at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig. His interests are in historical linguistics, typology, and language description.

Jeff Good (Ph.D. 2003, University of California, Berkeley) is Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University at Buffalo (New York). His research interests include the synchrony, diachrony, and typology of linear relations and comparative Benue-Congo, with a particular focus on Bantoid languages.

Robert Mailhammer (Ph.D. 2007, University of Munich) is Lecturer in Linguistics in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts at the University of Western Sydney. His research focuses on language variation and change, language documentation as well as typology.
