Brill’s Texts and Sources in Intellectual History is a peer-reviewed book series that publishes rare or previously unpublished material of great relevance to current academic research in the field of intellectual history. Publications include new editions and/or translations of complete works (preferably in English) as well as correspondence, notes, journals and other source materials. All volumes will have scholarly introductions and notes. Areas of particular interest to the series are philosophy, theology, history, political theory and science. Documents by individuals working in related fields and the writings of artists may also be taken into consideration, depending on the historical significance of the data presented. Special attention will be given to works that are not normally included in the accepted canon of a particular discipline, as well as to unknown works of famous authors.
