Biographical note
Brian D. Joseph (Ph.D. 1978, Harvard University) is Distinguished University Professor of Linguistics and The Kenneth E. Naylor Professor of South Slavic Linguistics at The Ohio State University. He is former editor of Diachronica and of Language. He specializes in the linguistics of Greek (from the Mycenaean up through the Modern periods), Albanian, and the Balkans, as well as general historical linguistics. Brian Joseph has authored numerous books and articles in these areas, including: The Synchrony and Diachrony of the Balkan Infinitive (Cambridge University Press, 1983, reiss.2009).
