This series focuses on contemporary contributions in Germanistik. Monolingual collected volumes are welcome in either German or English.
The Amsterdamer Beiträge zur neueren Germanistik (1972) is a longstanding book series for state-of-the-art research in the field of German-language literature(s) and cultural studies. It offers a platform for a variety of genres rediscovered in literature and cultural studies, amongst which are the study of the essay, literary biographies and periodicals. Furthermore, we are open to studies where German literature connects with other disciplines such as media, the arts and science. Our mission remains to publish themed-anthologies, that include research of previously undiscovered literary masterpieces, new discussions on established authors, and reflections on studies in German literature as a discipline.
All submissions are subject to a double blind peer review process prior to publication.
Die 1972 gegründete Reihe erscheint seit 1977 in zwangloser Folge in der Form von Thema-Bänden mit jeweils verantwortlichem Herausgeber.
The series published an average of 1,5 volumes per year over the last 5 years.
