MFI's Mission Statement
Please note: This is a living document. We review
our Mission Statement regularly to gauge our performance, and to revise the Statement as
necessary. If you have any comments or questions regarding our Mission Statement,
please write to us.
It is the mission of Mutual Funds
InteractiveŽ to provide focused, useful content to the mutual fund investor in an online,
interactive community.
|
What does this mean to us, and to our community?
Focused:
- We will deal with issues of specific interest to mutual fund
investors.
- We won't try to be all things to all people. Rather, we will
concentrate on topics that we believe, based upon our own knowledge and input from our
community, are ones which can educate and stimulate the mutual fund investor.
- We will not add content merely to expand our number of pages or
attempt to appeal to a broader audience.
Useful:
- We will provide a clean and easily navigable interface.
- We will look to new technologies which may benefit our community, but
will balance innovations with accessibility.
- Our articles will be clear, concise, and timely.
- We will provide articles for both the experienced and novice mutual
fund investor.
Online, Interactive:
- We are a Web-based entity, and are proud of it. We do not exist
in any other medium, but believe the Internet is an expanding medium which is converging,
and will continue to converge, with other media, such as those in print and broadcast.
We will work with our community to evolve with this convergence to the benefit of
the mutual fund investor.
- We will strive to use the Web to the fullest, working through our
newsgroups, polls, and other responsive means to communicate with our community.
Community:
- We believe that the key to a successful interactive resource is the
development and nurturing of a sense of community, where users from diverse
backgrounds and experiences can find an online environment where they are welcomed and
their participation is encouraged.
- We will welcome those new to mutual fund investing as well as
experienced investors and industry professionals.
- We will foster open discussion, and will work hard to encourage
tolerance of different viewpoints.
- We will treat community members with respect, and will expect members
to treat each other the same way.
