Riaz Hassan, Ph.D. (1968) in Sociology, The Ohio State University, is Professor of Sociology at The Flinders University of South Australia. His research interests include sociology of Muslim Societies and Urban Sociology. His most recent book is Faithlines: Muslim Conceptions of Islam and Society (Oxford University Press, 2003).
