Biographical note
Charles E. Fantazzi, Ph.D. (1964) in Comparative Literature, Harvard University, is Professor Emeritus of Classics at the University of Windsor and currently teaches at East Carolina University. He is an editor and translator of the Toronto Collected Works of Erasmus, and has published several texts and translations of Vives with Brill.
Constant Matheeussen †, Ph.D. (1974) in Classical Philology, was Professor of Roman Law at the Catholic University of Brussels (K.U. Brussel), of which university he was the previous rector magnificus. He has published extensively on humanist writers (Haloinus, Erasmus, Vives and Lipsius) including six volumes of Vives, The Selected Works (Brill, 1987-1998).
