Elizabeth Simpson, Ph.D. (1985) in Classical Archaeology, University of Pennsylvania, is professor of Ancient Art at the Bard Graduate Center, New York, N.Y. She is director of the Gordion Furniture Project and consulting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Museum, Philadelphia.
