The General Meeting of Shareholders approved a stock split on 14 May 2002 one (depository receipt on a) share was changed from €1.20 to two (despositary receipts on) shares of €0.60. The split came into effect on 19 August 2002. All share data has been adjusted
Continuous Trading of Brill’s Stock
Brill stock (Brill) is traded at the Amsterdam stock exchange twice a day via a so called auction. In the light of a clear reduction of the trade volume during 2008 the company has decided this system is no longer working in the interest of Brill’s shareholders. The company has therefore entered into an agreement with SNS Securities to act as a liquidity provider and to support marketing activities to promote Brill’s stock. The commissioning of an external analyst report is part of the agreement. Effective 19 December 2008 Brill’s stock can be bought and sold at all times during business hours. accordingly.
Number of Shares
The number of outstanding shares with a nominal value of €0.60 on 31 December 2010 was 1.874.444 (on 30 June 2009 1.874.444). Of the total number of outstanding share as of 31 December 2010 1.829.801 depositary issued and 44.643 registered shares were recorded in the share register.
