Peter O'Connor, Ph.D. (London) and Professor, Musashino University, Tokyo, has published papers and edited collections on the international media history of East Asia. His highly-regarded monograph, The English-language Press Networks of East Asia, 1918-1945 was published by Global Oriental in 2011.
This Series and the Collection as a whole constitute a crucial resource for students of and specialists on the modern international media history of East and South-East Asia. Pioneering Women Journalists, 1919-1949 also holds considerable relevance for students of intellectual history and the international relations of East and South-East Asia.
