Dmitry V. Frolov, Ph.D. (1980) in Arabic Linguistics, Litt.D. (1991) in Arabic Literature, both in Moscow University, is Professor of Arabic Philology at Moscow State University. He has published extensively on Arabic philology, grammar and metrics, Qur'anic and Islamic studies.
