Biographical note
Reem Bassiouney is assistant professor of Arabic language and linguistics at Georgetown University. She has published on topics in Arabic linguistics, including code-switching, language and gender, and language policies in the Arab world.
Readership
Linguists, especially sociolinguists with an interest in Arabic; all those engaged in research on media language, language and gender/ identity, media studies, and on Arabic language acquisition.
